BENEFITS

Benefits of Tutoring

Primary School classes are generally of mixed abilities and around 30 pupils. Even the most gifted teacher will struggle to cater to the needs of each individual in the class at all times. Tutoring gives students individualised attention that they don’t get in a crowded classroom.

OUR TUTORS ARE ABLE TO PROVIDE:
  • Direct one-to-one tuition, with the focus needed to help an individual progress to reach their potential.
  • Develop a child’s confidence and motivation in their school work and learning.
  • Offer academic support to a child, if they have missed out on some of their learning, whether through illness or absence.
  • Academic challenge for a gifted child, if they do not find this at their school.
  • Help a child develop the right exam technique, so that they are able to show their best in a pressured exam situation.

DOES MY CHILD NEED A TUTOR?

There are many reasons why parents choose tutoring for their children. Some parents feel unable to help their child with schoolwork, whereas others find their child responds better working through school struggles with another person.

Regardless of the reason, there are many facts and statistics that support the benefits of tuition.

Industry trials and studies show pupils given 12 hours of tuition made three months more progress than pupils who didn’t get any extra tutoring.

Evidence indicates that one to one tuition can be effective, delivering approximately five additional months progress on average.
